Cell Fusion Privacy Policy
Cell Fusion (“the game”) is published by AlvaForge, the brand of 18171254 Canada Inc. (“we”, “us”), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This page explains what information the game handles, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the Android version of Cell Fusion distributed through Google Play.
The short version
- You can play without creating an account. Your progress is saved on your device.
- If you sign in with Google Play Games, your progress is also saved to your Google account so it survives a new phone. We receive your Play Games player ID and display name, nothing else from your Google account.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any personalized ad is shown, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see your card or bank details.
- We collect anonymous gameplay statistics and crash reports (Firebase) to fix bugs and balance levels.
- We do not sell your data. The game is not directed at children under 13.
Information we handle, and why
Saved on your device. Your progress (levels, stars, coins, gems, settings, purchases you own) is stored in a file inside the game’s private storage on your phone. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
Cloud saves (optional). If you sign in with Google Play Games Services, the same progress file is stored as a “saved game” in your own Google account through Google’s Saved Games service. We receive your Play Games player ID and public display name to match the save to you. You can disconnect in your device’s Play Games settings. Google’s handling of Play Games data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Advertising. The game uses Google AdMob to show rewarded ads (ads you choose to watch for a bonus) and occasional full-screen ads between levels. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, coarse location derived from it, device and app information, and ad interaction data to show, measure and (where you consent) personalize ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the game shows Google’s consent message on first launch and requests ads only according to your choice; a “Privacy options” button in Settings lets you change it. Everywhere you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android’s settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). Google’s ads policies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Purchases. In-app purchases (gem packs, the No Ads option) are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment and sends the game a purchase receipt (a product ID and purchase token). We store which non-consumable products you own so they can be restored on a new device. We do not receive your name, card number or billing address.
Analytics and crash reports. The game uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They collect an app-instance identifier, device model, operating system version, app version, language, country (from your IP address, which is not stored), gameplay events (for example which level was played, whether it was won, how many moves were left, whether an ad was offered or watched, which product was bought) and, if the game crashes, a crash log with the device state at that moment. We use this to find bugs and to tune level difficulty. Firebase’s data handling: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Feedback you send. The game has a FEEDBACK button in Settings. If you use it, the rating and the message you type, an email address only if you choose to enter one, the game version, your phone model, Android version and graphics chip name, the level you were on and your player badge ID (the CF-XXXX-XXXX code shown on your player card, which is not your Google account ID) are sent to us and stored in a Google Sheet we control, to improve the game and to reply when you asked for one. Please do not put personal information in a message unless you want us to have it.
News and announcements. When it is online, the game downloads a small news file from our website, alvaforge.com, for its announcements and the line under PLAY, and the picture of an announcement that has one. The request sends nothing about you or your progress: the only detail in it is the game’s version number. Like any website, our web host may keep the request’s IP address and time in its server logs for a limited period, for security and operations; we do not use them to identify anyone. Which announcements you have already seen is stored only on your device.
What we do not collect. No name, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera data. The game has no chat; the only text you can send is the feedback described above.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
Running the game and delivering what you bought: performance of a contract. Cloud saves: your request. Personalized advertising and analytics in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings > Privacy options. Crash reports and non-personalized ads: our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and free to play.
Sharing
Data is shared only with the service providers named above (Google: Play, Play Games Services, AdMob and its certified ad partners, Firebase; Hostinger, which hosts alvaforge.com and the news file), each under its own privacy policy, and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Progress stays on your device until you uninstall; cloud saves stay in your Google account until you or we delete them. Firebase Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months; Crashlytics crash data for 90 days. Feedback messages are kept for up to 24 months and deleted on request. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to honour what you bought and to meet accounting rules.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. How to delete your data is explained at https://alvaforge.com/cellfusion/delete-data. For anything else, email hello@alvaforge.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Cell Fusion is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided some, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) between the game and Google’s services. The save file on your device is protected by Android’s app sandbox.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new “last updated” date, and the game shows a notice for changes that matter.
