Letter Train
ABC tracing for little hands
A calm alphabet app for preschoolers. A little train rides from A to Z, and at every station your child traces a sleeping letter with a finger until it wakes up, says its name and climbs aboard.
Free to try with the letters A to J. One purchase, once, opens everything. No ads, no subscription, no account, and nothing collected.
How it plays
Trace it, wake it, all aboard
One letter at a station, A to Z. No reading needed: your child follows Roly, paints the letter and hears it say its name.
- A letter sleeps at the stationThe train rides from station to station, A to Z, and at each one a stone letter is fast asleep.
- Your child traces itWith one finger. The paint only goes where the letter goes, so nothing can go wrong.
- Roly shows the wayRoly, a round coral friend in a conductor’s cap, rolls along each stroke to show where to go next.
- The letter wakes upIt wakes up in your child’s own paint, says its name, and climbs aboard.
- All aboardThe train carries every letter your child has woken, in ABC order, while the ABC song plays.

Beyond the train
Words, stickers and paint
Word Island
The letters spell first words, like cat, dog and pig, on little islands. A boat sails from one island to the next.
Stickers for neat tracing
Neat tracing on Word Island earns white, shiny or golden stickers, and each island keeps the ones it has earned.
Paints to choose from
Plain paints, plus a rainbow, a bit of space with stars in it, and gold and silver glitter. Paint one colour over another and they mix like real paint: yellow and blue make green. Eight plain paints are free; the rest, and the mixing, come with full access.
Learning
Letter tracing that sticks
- All 26 uppercase letters, A to Z: each one’s shape and its name, said as it wakes up.
- Stroke order and direction: the paint only flows along the stroke being traced, the way the letter is written.
- The alphabet in order: the train carries every woken letter A first, while the ABC song plays.
- Steady little hands: tracing with a finger practises the movements that writing letters will need.
For parents
A corner for grown-ups
- The parents’ area sits behind a grown-up gate: hold a button, then type the answer to a sum.
- Your child’s best letters, all on one page, to keep and to share as a picture.
- Your child’s name on the home screen, if you want it. It is optional and stays on the phone.
